Dr. R. P. Lansdowne is known for his excellent service and skilled dental care. He enjoys helping each of his patients improve their health, appearance, and self-esteem by creating the smile of their dreams as well as improving the health and function of their teeth, gums and bite.

Dr. Lansdowne graduated from Baylor University College of Dentistry (now known as Texas A & M Health Science Center Baylor College of Dentistry) in 1968 and began his practice of dentistry in Wichita, Kansas with an interruption of two years for a stint serving as Captain in the USAF Dental Corps at Eglin Air Force Base, Ft. Walton Beach, Florida.

Dr. Lansdowne has been a continuous student of dentistry maintaining membership in the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) since 1972. He obtained the AGD's Fellowship designation (FAGD) in 1982 and AGD's Mastership designation (MAGD) in 1996.

His academic track record and sincere commitment to his patient's well being, gives evidence to his "Excellence" in everything he does.

Dr. Lansdowne maintains membership in the following dental organizations:

• Wichita District Dental Society (WDDS) - having served on numerous committees, and through its leadership offices serving as President 1980 - 1981.
• Kansas Dental Association (KDA) - Served as Delegate to the KDA as well as served on several Councils at the state level.
• American Dental Association (ADA)
• having served at the state level (Kansas Academy of General Dentistry - KAGD) serving through its leadership offices serving as President 1988 - 1989, Dr. Lansdowne also served as a Delegate and an Alternate Delegate to the National AGD.
• Dr. Lansdowne belongs to the American Orthodontic Society (AOS) and offers complete traditional orthodontic services, including functional jaw orthopedics and Invisalign (the no-braces orthodontics).
• Elected a Fellow in the International College of Dentists (ICD) in 1998
• Dr. Lansdowne assumed a children's dental practice from Dr. A. Wayne Rose in Wichita converting it to a general practice that still loves to see kids and joined The American Society of Dentistry for Children (ASDC). Working through ASDC's state leadership offices, Dr. Lansdowne served as President of the Kansas Chapter of the ASDC 1992 - 1993. Dr. Lansdowne then served as a Trustee for the National ASDC (1996 - 1999). Dr. Lansdowne began working through National ASDC's leadership offices from 1999 through 2002 serving as President-elect from 2001 - 2002.
• In 2002 when Dr. Lansdowne would have become President of National ASDC, it merged with the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD), the specialty organization for children's dentistry. Dr. Lansdowne became the first General Dentist to serve as a Trustee for the AAPD Board of Directors from 2002 - 2006, serving an additional year beyond the normal 3-year term. General Dentists that treat kids are Affiliate Members of the AAPD.
• Dr. Lansdowne also maintains membership in the American Academy of the History of Dentistry (AAHD) with this organization being one of great fun as Dr. Lansdowne has an antique dental office set up in one area of his new building.
• Dr. Lansdowne has given lectures on Dentistry in the Colonial Period of the United States to civic organizations in Wichita and with the AAPD entitled Revolutionary Dentistry.
• Dr. Lansdowne also maintains membership with the Christian Dental Society (CDS) and has gone on mission trips with other related organizations to Honduras and Dominican Republic.
